However, Bedlamite breaks the design, which we respect. Men and women can just be friends, but with the chaotic chemical science between the quick-witted Annie and the paranoid Owen, we tin't help but try to imagine what their relationship would expect like. —D.J.

Why we're shivering with antici—pation: Raise your hand if you screamed, "Kiss!" at your screen more times than you tin can count whenever you saw these two on-screen in Shadow and Bone Flavor 1. When Mal steals grapes from the Showtime Army tent for Alina and they sit down watching over the camp together: Kiss! When he finds her in the woods as she's on the run: Kiss! When Alina shows Mal her ability and they're both feeling vulnerable: Osculation! When they sail abroad into the unknown of the True Sea: Kiss! Yes, they had their nigh-date and Joyce may have moved away for now, but if the Season 3 finale is any indication, nosotros all know that their hearts prevarication with each other. Owen, the chef of Bly Manor, e'er whipped up a special recipe for Hannah, and Hannah e'er tried to keep the cheeky chef on task. You can't just suggest that two characters go there and then not have them live out their secret fantasies of beingness in love with each other. Alas, The Haunting of Bly Manor wouldn't be a tragic lovelorn ghost story if anybody got what they wanted. Mike Flanagan, why didn't yous let them exist fully happy? Why? —D.J.
